Use the DIUN template in Server Compass to deploy a self-hosted Docker image update notifier service on your VPS, then verify the setup screen.
Select the tutorial-vps VPS, open the Apps tab, and start a new app deployment. Keep sensitive server details hidden before capturing or sharing screenshots.

Click New App and choose the template deployment path so Server Compass can load the built-in catalog.

Use the template picker search to find DIUN in the Server Compass template catalog.

Choose the DIUN template. Server Compass fills the DIUN service, read-only Docker socket mount, scan schedule, and health endpoint port.

Confirm the app name and compose service. In this run, the app was named diun-demo and used host port 4083.

Review the generated compose settings, confirm the DIUN web port is available, and click Deploy.

Keep the deployment modal open while Server Compass uploads the compose file, pulls the DIUN image, starts the container, and verifies the stack.

After deployment finishes, return to the Apps tab and confirm the DIUN app is marked Running with its application URL available.

Inspect the DIUN container logs and confirm the Docker provider started.

The DIUN container reported Docker provider startup successfully.
It deploys the DIUN Docker image update notifier service with data volume and Docker socket access.
The tutorial used host port 4083, which maps to the DIUN web UI on container port 8080.
Yes. Verify Docker provider logs, then configure notification providers.
No. The deployment guide should live on the DIUN template detail page and be linked from the reusable template deployment docs page.
After deploying Diun with Server Compass, complete these steps to finish setup
Watch the logs to confirm Diun is scanning Docker containers
Add label `diun.enable=true` to containers you want monitored (or leave watch-by-default)
Configure a notification provider via DIUN_NOTIF_* env vars or mount a diun.yml at /data/diun.yml
Wait for the next scheduled scan or restart the container to trigger an immediate run
