Use the Excalidraw template in Server Compass to deploy a self-hosted diagramming app for flowcharts, UML, network diagrams, and whiteboards on your VPS, then verify the Excalidraw web UI in a browser.
Select your VPS, open the Apps tab, and start a new app deployment. Keep sensitive server details hidden before capturing or sharing screenshots.

Click New App and choose the template deployment path so Server Compass can load the built-in catalog.

Use the template picker search to find Excalidraw in the Server Compass template catalog.

Choose the Excalidraw template. Server Compass fills in the single Excalidraw web service and maps the browser port.

Confirm the app name and compose services. In this run, the app was named excalidraw-demo and used host port 3030.

Review the generated environment values, confirm the port is available, and click Deploy Now.

Keep the deployment modal open while Server Compass uploads the compose file, pulls the Excalidraw image, starts the container, and verifies the stack.

After deployment finishes, return to the Apps tab and confirm the Excalidraw app is marked Running with its application URL available.

Open the application URL in a browser. The Excalidraw web UI confirms the site is reachable.

It deploys the self-hosted Excalidraw web application so users can create flowcharts, UML diagrams, network diagrams, and other diagrams in a browser.
The tutorial used host port 3030, which maps to the Excalidraw web service on container port 80.
The tutorial verifies the clean Excalidraw web UI because diagram storage, sharing, HTTPS, and access-control choices depend on the production setup.
No. The deployment guide should live on the Excalidraw template detail page and be linked from the reusable template deployment docs page.
