Use the MinIO template in Server Compass to deploy S3-compatible object storage on your VPS, then verify the MinIO Console in a browser.
Select the tutorial-vps VPS, open the Apps tab, and start a new app deployment. Keep sensitive server details hidden before capturing or sharing screenshots.

Click New App and choose the template deployment path so Server Compass can load the built-in catalog.

Use the template picker search to find MinIO in the Server Compass template catalog.

Choose the MinIO template. Server Compass fills the MinIO service, the persistent data volume, API and Console ports, and root credentials.

Confirm the app name and compose service. In this run, the app was named minio-demo and the Console used host port 9001.

Review the generated environment values, keep the root password masked, confirm the API and Console ports are available, and click Deploy Now.

Keep the deployment modal open while Server Compass uploads the compose file, pulls the MinIO image, starts the container, and verifies the stack.

After deployment finishes, return to the Apps tab and confirm the MinIO app is marked Running with its application URL available.

Open the Console URL in a browser. The MinIO login screen confirms the deployed object storage service is reachable and ready for bucket setup.

The MinIO Console loaded successfully in a browser and displayed the login screen.
It deploys the official MinIO container with a persistent data volume, an S3-compatible API port, and a separate web Console port.
The tutorial used host port 9001 for the MinIO Console, which maps to container port 9001.
A fresh MinIO deployment is considered reachable when the Console login screen loads. The public guide stops before signing in because root credentials are sensitive.
No. The deployment guide should live on the MinIO template detail page and be linked from the reusable template deployment docs page.
For terminal enthusiasts: deploy MinIO manually with these simple steps.
Start by opening a terminal window and connecting to your VPS via SSH.

# Or with a specific SSH key
ssh -i ~/.ssh/your-key root@your-server-ipFirst time? Docker required! Install it with: curl -fsSL https://get.docker.com | sh
Create a dedicated space for your application deployment.
