Use the Navidrome template in Server Compass to deploy a self-hosted music server and streamer with persistent data and music volumes on your VPS, then verify the Navidrome web UI in a browser.
Select your VPS, open the Apps tab, and start a new app deployment. Keep sensitive server details hidden before capturing or sharing screenshots.

Click New App and choose the template deployment path so Server Compass can load the built-in catalog.

Use the template picker search to find Navidrome in the Server Compass template catalog.

Choose the Navidrome template. Server Compass fills the Navidrome image, host port, published server URL, and persistent data and music volumes.

Confirm the app name and compose services. In this run, the app was named navidrome-demo and used host port 4533.

Review the generated environment values, confirm the port is available, and click Deploy Now.

Keep the deployment modal open while Server Compass uploads the compose file, pulls the Navidrome image, starts the container, and verifies the stack.

After deployment finishes, return to the Apps tab and confirm the Navidrome app is marked Running with its application URL available.

Open the application URL in a browser. The Navidrome web UI confirms the site is reachable.

It deploys the official Navidrome container with a persistent data volume and a read-only music volume mounted at /music.
The tutorial used host port 4533, which maps to the Navidrome web server on container port 4533.
The tutorial verifies the clean first-run web UI because real library paths, users, metadata providers, and remote access settings depend on the production server.
No. The deployment guide should live on the Navidrome template detail page and be linked from the reusable template deployment docs page.
Navidrome is a modern music server compatible with the Subsonic API. Self-hosting lets you stream your entire music collection from anywhere, using dozens of compatible apps on every platform — without monthly streaming service fees.
Spotify is subscription-based and removes music. Navidrome streams your permanent collection with no monthly fees.
Jellyfin does everything. Navidrome is focused on music with Subsonic API support and a much lighter resource footprint.
Plex handles music but it's secondary. Navidrome is music-first with better library management and lighter resource usage.
Server Compass deploys Navidrome with just 256MB RAM — perfect for adding music streaming to any existing server. It maps your music directory and configures persistent storage for the database automatically.
