Select the Ackee template

Choose the Ackee template. Server Compass fills the analytics service, MongoDB dependency, persistent database volume, and public dashboard port.

Review the Ackee settings

Confirm the app name and compose services. In this run, the app was named ackee-demo and used dashboard port 4241.

Deploy Ackee

Review the generated compose settings, confirm the Ackee web port is available, and click Deploy.

Watch the deployment progress

Keep the deployment modal open while Server Compass uploads the compose file, pulls the Ackee image, starts the container, and verifies the stack.

Confirm Ackee is running

After deployment finishes, return to the Apps tab and confirm the Ackee app is marked Running with its application URL available.

Open the application URL in a browser. The Ackee login screen confirms the analytics dashboard is reachable.

After Ackee Opens

  • Use a strong admin password and keep the dashboard restricted to trusted operators.
  • Create a domain in Ackee before adding the tracker snippet to a site.
  • Decide whether `ACKEE_AUTO_ORIGIN` is acceptable for production or whether origins should be restricted manually.
  • Back up the MongoDB data volume before moving or replacing the VPS.
  • Use HTTPS before collecting production analytics data.
  • Keep the Ackee image updated for dependency and security fixes.
