Use the OneDev template in Server Compass to deploy a self-hosted Git server with CI/CD on your VPS, then verify the OneDev setup screen in a browser.
Select the tutorial-vps VPS, open the Apps tab, and start a new app deployment. Keep sensitive server details hidden before capturing or sharing screenshots.

Click New App and choose the template deployment path so Server Compass can load the built-in catalog.

Use the template picker search to find OneDev in the Server Compass template catalog.

Choose the OneDev template. Server Compass fills the OneDev service, persistent data volume, web port, and Git SSH port.

Confirm the app name and compose services. In this run, the app was named onedev-demo and used host port 6610.

Review the generated compose settings, confirm the web and SSH ports are available, and click Deploy Now.

Keep the deployment modal open while Server Compass uploads the compose file, pulls the OneDev image, starts the container, and verifies the stack.

After deployment finishes, return to the Apps tab and confirm the OneDev app is marked Running with its application URL available.

Click Open Application or open the application URL in a browser. The OneDev setup screen confirms the Git and CI/CD server is reachable and ready for final setup.

The OneDev app loaded successfully in a browser and displayed the first-run setup screen.
It deploys the OneDev server container with a persistent data volume, web access on port 6610, Git SSH access on port 6611, and Docker socket access for CI/CD workloads.
The tutorial used host port 6610, which maps to the OneDev web UI on container port 6610.
A fresh OneDev deployment is considered reachable when the first-run setup screen loads. Completing setup creates real administrator credentials, so the public guide stops before account creation.
No. The deployment guide should live on the OneDev template detail page and be linked from the reusable template deployment docs page.
Take the DIY route and deploy OneDev on your own server using Docker.
Initiate a secure shell connection to your server using the command below.
# Connect to your VPS
ssh root@your-server-ip
# Or with a specific SSH key
ssh -i ~/.ssh/your-key root@your-server-ipFirst time? Docker required! Install it with: curl -fsSL https://get.docker.com | sh
Organize your deployment by creating a dedicated project folder.
# Create and navigate to project directory
mkdir -p ~/apps/onedev
cd ~/apps/onedevCreate a new docker-compose.yml file and paste this configuration:
services:
onedev:
image: 1dev/server:latest

restart: unless-stopped

# Spin up containers
