Remote Control from Your Phone

What Remote Control does

Remote Control lets you "control ServerCompass from a phone or tablet browser. Credentials never leave this computer — the phone drives sessions running here." Open the Remote Control tab from the sidebar and press Start remote server; the status shows Running or Stopped, along with how many devices are connected.

Connection modes

Pick how the phone reaches your desktop:

• Local network — same Wi-Fi only, no setup
• Cloudflare Tunnel (Public) — reach this desktop from anywhere over HTTPS; downloads cloudflared on first use
• Tailscale (Private) — private HTTPS across your tailnet; both devices need Tailscale

You can turn on Start remote server with the app to auto-start with the last mode, and set Paired devices expire after to 7 days, 30 days, or Never.

Pair a device

Use Link a device to show a QR code — scan it with your phone's camera, or use Copy pairing link. "The pairing code expires after 10 minutes and rotates whenever you refresh it. Newly paired devices receive Admin access by default." Under Paired devices, each device has an access tier — Viewer, Operator, or Admin — and you can Revoke one or Revoke all.
